Theatre (CET) and Staff Players Repertory Company (SPRC) present two weekends of
stellar performances offered as a Limited Engagement Benefit for CET, now
celebrating its 50th Anniversary Year!
The INDOOR FOREST THEATRE presents MARK TWAIN ON THE MISSISSIPI, with Taelen
Thomas, January 29, 30 & 31 and THE BELLE OF AMHERST (Emily Dickinson), with Marlie Avant
February 5, 6 & 7.
All show times are Friday & Saturday at 7:30 p.m. (box office opens at 7 p.m.)
and Sunday Matinee at 2:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $20 for General
admission, $15 for Students/Military/Seniors, $10 for Children age 12 and under,
with a $2 discount for CET students and their families.
Taelen Thomas plays Mark Twain at the age of 50, recalling how he grew up alongside the Mississippi River and eventually earned his license to pilot a steamboat between St. Louis and New Orleans in the 1850s.

Marlie Avant has been presenting Emily Dickinson in this marvelous one-woman show for several seasons covering the incredible creative power of this icon of American poetry!

SPRC has been offering gems of the classical canon for almost four decades in the little theatre downstairs from the outdoor stage in beautiful Carmel. Staff Players Repertory
Company is the
oldest continually producing theatre company in Carmel. Founded in 1969,
Staff Players has been dedicated to producing theatre classics, ancient and
modern - from Euripedes to Ugo Betti - and including much of Molière and Shaw.
Many of the original members are still part of the company, and open auditions
continue to add new talent.
All performances are at the Indoor Forest Theatre in Carmel-by-the-Sea at Mountain View and Santa Rita. Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m., Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the box office (624-1531) or may be purchased at www.ticketguys.com.
Staff Players is a major support for the work of Children's Experimental Theatre, a training program in theatre skills to develop creative confidence in children 6-18. Many CET alumnae have returned to share their gifts with the Staff Players Repertory Company.
